Going to FUK ...Fukuoka that is

For those friends of mine who are...shall I say...in the travel business...the 3 letters FUK are simply the acronyms for Fukuoka Japan.
For the rest of you dirty minded people - it would interpret as something quite different...shame on you!
Yes my friends and family, this weekend I will cross the East Sea to yet another Asian country....Japan!

I will be going on the so-called 'visa run' or as I like to consider it, my right of passage. My reason ...if you haven't already figured it out is to get my visa officially pasted into my little Canadian passport and begin officially working here (within the limits of Korean law etc etc).
I only found out the other day I would be going this weekend - Andy has confirmed my reservation on the ferry and my hotel (although I am not sure what to expect). I will only be going for one night, two days..I was originally hoping for a longer stay...but let's face it - Japan is expensive and it isn't a bad idea to limit my time, and therefore my budget.

Additionally I have managed to come down with my second cold ...ugh!!! This one doesn't seems as bad - yet. I am off to the pharmacist tomorrow to get some more of that "Korean-strength" cough medicine that cured me last time. Hopefully I will be healthy is the next day or two.

Ok - so the next time I will blog I will have some photos of Japan and hopefully some good stories to share.
By the way, we have begun decorating the school. We put the tree up and I had some kids colour some pictures for the our wall. One of my classes has started reading the story of Frosty the Snow Man...I am hoping to have them memorize it - but they don't know that yet...ha ha ha (evil laugh). Christmas is on it's way.....

Ciao
Colleen
